I bought this game, and opened up the Basic Training when I started it up. From there I got my advanced weapons training, and finally my squad training, until I chose SAS (you can choose between the Brits and the US Delta Force) and started the campaign.
From there, I failed.
It was impossible to keep control of 4 men, I thought "Why did I buy this". I felt ripped off by the 'squad based shooter'. Then, my brother asked me if I wanted to do the campaign with him, co-op.
Then, it was amazing.
When you are only in charge of 2 guys, you can concentrate more. You work to get them promotions, use their special abilities. I am full of praise about this game. I started to notice how realistic it was. You feel excited, exhilarated, and like you are in a real war, not just playing it from your sofa. The game is a masterpiece, and we are already planning on getting Desert Storm II and Global Storm.
A word of warning to anyone who buys this. Do not do it in single player mode. If you think you can, go ahead, but this game is designed for co-op, don't forget it. | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS

Ok, so first you start on the main menu.
Which is preety easy to understand, and straight forwards... and none of those complicated menus, that you can't find anything.
Then you start the game; loading times are ok, not the fastest... but you don't feel fustrated by the wait.
The tutorial mode is also great, it's not boring like a lot of game tutorials out there.
This one, you even come to laugh with the way that the major talks to you.
But the controls are so easy, that you don't even need to do the tutorial.
Do it anyway, just for a laugh.
You start the campaign, and you are quickly drawn into the magnificent graphycs, and the environment.
The characters are easy to control, and issuing a comand and also quick, you know you ain't gonna get killed by the lack of control or gameplay.
Each mission gets harder has you progress, but your characters also get better.
The environment is so great, that it feels you are actually there.
You will get drawn into this game so much, you will forget everything else around you.
There are no quick missions, so make sure you have plenty of time.
Each mission lasts atleast one hour, if you play properly.
This is one of the Best war games you can ever play.
The only downfall of this game is that you can only save twice.
If you fail, you die, if you die... it's game over.

When i bought the game in 2002, i loved the S.A.S and was fasinated by theGulf War, yet to say that Conflict Desert Storm met all of myexspectations and went beyond them. In the game you have control of fourS.A.S or US Delta Force troopers, Bradley, Fouley, Connors and James. Youhave to guide them through a maze of levels ranging from the streets ofBaghdad to the open desert of and valleys like the all time historic ScudBouvelard. You can make the most of you specialist troopers equipment ie:Connors is a heavy weapons specialist so he has a tripod, and Fouley is asniper, so you can use that etc. The game has a story line based aroundreal missions carried out by the forces. You objectives are to locate anddestroy things like Scuds, SAMS, Tanks and complete objectives likedestroy nav hut and things like that. You can use a stealth approach, or,just burst in guns blazing. The game gives you a real feel of what itwould be like to be in there for real. In my opinion, it's one of the bestgames around, and you'll never get board of it's missions, wide range ofequipment and weapons, and the ablity to send your team off some were andcontrol all of the team members in a first person view. This game is probly one of the best games i have ever played, i have never played a game that has been so stragetic, i love the way u can control up to 4 different people, the mission's are great fun and i love the way i can play this with my brother cos i can boss him around and get him to give me his weapons :p, hehe, the graphics on this game r not brilliant but they r good anothe, This game is deffently worth buying cos its a game u can play over and over again | REVIEW BY ANONYMOUS

This is one of the most engrossing team based games for the playstation 2,Gamecube and X Box to date. This is because of the way in which you can switch between characters to perform different tasks such as using the engineer to clear a path for your tank.
